Puri
Bagus Candidasa is built in traditional Balinese style,
with 50 well-appointed villas including a two-bedroom
suite. The open-air restaurant affords spectacular views
of the crystal clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean,
and prides itself in its traditional island cuisine.
Puri
Bagus Candidasa is located beachfront on the easternmost
resort area of Candidasa. The village of Tenganan, the
walled-in-home to the Balinese Aga community, often
named the original Balinese, is just a few minutes drive
from the hotel. Bali, the legendary island of the Gods,
is home to a gentle and hospitable people with a unique
culture, full of color and artistic expression. Meticulously
manicured terraced rice fields mingle with the lushness
tropical forest. 
The
regency of Karangasem where Puri Bagus Candidasa is
located, holds sites of diverse tourist interest, such
as the historic Water Palace at Tirtagangga and Tulamben,
the diving site of the US$ "Liberty" sank
during the second World War. The underwater coral gardens
of the two small islands just off the hotel's beachfront
have long captivated divers in search of the beauty
of the marine world. Natural landscapes are a source
of artistic inspiration and the nearby village of Sidemen
was much vaunted by the German painter-musician Walter
Spies.
The
Puri Bagus Candidasa's restaurant serves traditional
Balinese and international cuisine. Light snacks are
available throughout the day at the poolside. The bar
specializes in tropical cocktails and carries major
international brands of liquor. For guest convenience
there is an in-house boutique & souvenir shop, as
well as drugstore.
