Information
 Agung
Rai, purchased the land for the ARMA RESORT as a gift
for his father who had always dreamed of owning this
particularly beautiful and large rice paddy with a river
curving through it.
Starting with a few handsome rooms and a large swimming
pool, the ARMA RESORT slowly developed into a hotel
with 20 elegant villas and rooms graciously spread out
on its 10 acres (4 hectares) with 5 more villas soon
to be completed.
The ARMA RESORT represents one part of Agung Rai’s
visionary dream to create a unified cultural environment
that contains a Museum of Art to house Mr. and Mrs.
Agung Rai’s extensive private collection of Balinese
and Indonesian art, gardens, hotel accommodations, an
outdoor theater presenting Dance performances, a library,
cultural workshops, and a school for Balinese children
to learn traditional music.
